What is Coaching?
I sometimes get asked what is coaching, why do I do it and why do people have it.

So I have put together this page to link together what the different types of coaching are that I am qualified in.

Coaching

It focuses on growth and development it is not about teaching or telling the client what to do, but rather about helping them discover their own solutions and develop their skills and abilities.
Life Coachingg
Life coaching is a process that helps individuals clarify their goals, identify and overcome obstacles, and develop strategies to achieve their desired outcomes in various aspects of life, including personal and professional areas. It involves a partnership between a coach and a client to help the client unlock their potential and move forward in a specific area of their life.

Personal Training
Personal trainers are certified professionals who help individuals achieve their fitness goals. This is done through workouts, programs and guidance that is individual and personal to that individual. Personal training can be done one to one or as small group training where each individual will have tailor made plans made for them that take into account their fitness levels, goals and any specific needs or limitations they have.

What to expect from personal training:
Expert guidance from the trainer/coach including instruction on the correct form, technique and exercise progression which in turn ensures the practice is safe and will maximise their results. The trainer/coach will keep the individual motivated and accountable through goal setting, monitoring progress and providing feedback. Personal training can take place in gyms, outdoors or individuals homes. Each workout/plan is designed specifically for the individual.

Nutrition Coaching

It includes supervised exercise, education, and guidance to support physical and mental wellbeing. Cardiac rehab is recommended for all patients following a cardiac event.

Hybrid Coaching
Hybrid coaching combines the benefits of online coaching with in person coaching, offering clients both flexibility and the personal guidance of a in person coach.

Hybrid coaching allows individuals to train independently with their online program while still having access to their coach in person. Individuals receive an agreed number of in persons sessions with their coach. Individuals would access everything in the same way as online coaching when not in an in person setting.

​The combination of online and in person interaction keeps clients more engaged and motivated. ​Individuals can train independently and still have access to a coach when needed. Plus all of the benefits of online coaching and personal training or strength and conditioning. ​
Combined Coaching
So after reading all of the above you may be thinking well I want to focus on my fitness, but I could do with looking at my nutrition and plyometrics sound fun plus I've just gone through a bad time so need to talk my next steps out with someone.

If you are thinking something like the above that's fine, the point of the above information is to show what I can do. I can work with you on one thing or a mixture of two three or all of the above. Things change over time so you may be reading this now thinking I want to lose a bit of weight then in 3 months time you may want to get back into playing football and want to focus on a more conditioning approach.
